Our Mission and Opportunity

Polish Professional Women of Silicon Valley is an initiative whose mission is to empower women of Polish descent by providing support, training, and tools to elevate their careers. Our mission is to support women of Polish descent in Silicon Valley and the Greater San Francisco Bay Area with the necessary tools to enhance their careers. 

 

Our Team

We are a team that consists of program and project managers, marketing and social marketing managers, strategist and executive board. Together we create a safe space to practice new roles, go out of the comfort zone and eventually acquire competences to switch careers or make the next step in a career path. We are working remotely and are totally flexible in terms of the working hours. We are also open to potential modifications of roles and responsibility.

Event Coordinator

Part-time, volunteer

About the role

This volunteer position is for an individual who is passionate about events. Event Coordinator duties include coordinating, planning, scheduling virtual and in-person events throughout the year. Depending on availability it might be one event or multiple events within one year.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule virtual and in-person events

  • Collaborate closely with program managers, designers, social media manager and digital marketing manager regarding event promotions

  • Monitor metrics regarding attendance

  • Passion for events

  • Flexible, well-organized, collaborative and detail oriented

Community Engagement Coordinator

Part-time, volunteer

About the role

This volunteer position is for an individual who is passionate about social media and communities formed through social media  groups. Community Engagement Coordinator duties mainly include managing PPWSV LinkedIn group, replying to comments and posts as well as coordinating new content with the marketing team.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Manage and own PPWSV LinkedIn group, manage engagement of PPWSV group members (reply to comments, facilitate discussions)

  • Create, develop and share content on social media PPWSV LinkedIn group

  • Collaborate closely with program managers, designers, social media manager and digital marketing manager

  • Monitor metrics and success of content on LinkedIn group

 

Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Passion for social media

  • Flexible, well-organized, collaborative and detail oriented
