Joanna Lorincz

Co-founder of PPWSV. Responsible for mission-critical and partnership development

Joanna currently works as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with Workday in Pleasanton, CA. Her role responsibilities include the oversight of quality control and for delivery of a product that meets the highest standards of customers satisfaction. As part of the Software Development Life Cycle and Design Partner Groups, she is involved in building products with the most innovative design features. 

Joanna has gained invaluable experience working for many well known Silicon Valley companies such as 3VR, Taleo, Oracle, and currently works for Workday.


Joanna graduated with a degree in Business, Marketing, and Management which gives her unique insight and understanding into the business aspects of the software industry, as well as people, their motivation and productivity.


She is keenly interested in Agile and Scrum framework as part of Software Development. As a Certified Scrum Master, she is constantly learning and incorporating new techniques on how to improve teamwork and raise productivity within her team.


Joanna enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle and can often be found at the nearby yoga studio, paddle boarding on the San Francisco Bay or hiking on nearby trails. She is also passionate about healthy nutrition and continues to educate herself on the subject. Joanna lives in Walnut Creek together with her husband and son. 



Magdalena Jaworowicz, Ph.D.

Co-founder of PPWSV. Responsible for mission-critical and communication


Magdalena is a marketing expert in the field of technology. Over the past 10 years, she has worked with various companies and currently works as Senior Marketing Coordinator at Omron Adept Technologies.


Prior to Omron, she was the Marketing Coordinator and a Regional Marketing Manager in Eastern Europe, executing numerous marketing campaigns and various global events.


Born in New York, Magdalena grew up in Poland, where she received her MBA degree in Management and a Ph.D. in Media Studies. She is strongly motivated by a desire to share her knowledge with others and has devoted much of her time to such endeavors in recent years. She has lectured extensively at the University of Warsaw

during the past seven years and worked as TEDx public speaking trainer.


Together with her husband, she writes an art blog ( and has published 5 books relating to different fields of marketing such as:
Copywriting, Political Marketing, Gender Marketing, Video Marketing, and Event Marketing.  She has been referenced by Wikipedia under the definition “Event Marketing”.



Izabela Stepniewski

Digital Marketing Manager


Izabela Stepniewski is a Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in Digital Marketing. Izabela has been working for the biggest worldwide companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Nestle, Google, Kulczyk Holding, Orange, Raiffeisen Bank, Jacobs, Polpharma, Aviva and many more.


During this time Izabela planned and executed several marketing projects including digital campaigns, creating marketing strategies, managing countless new web developments and also built and maintained strong, lasting relationships with key clients. Izabela studied Economics and Management&Marketing at Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW.

Since Izabela values people, she feels good in those work environments which create a positive atmosphere, teamwork collaboration, and motivation based on true vocation.
Privately Izabela loves traveling and experiencing a culture through its food. She is a big fan of audiobooks. She is fascinated by women empowerment and interested in environmental trends.



Karolina Mazaheri

Project Manager

Karolina is a Project Administrator with seven years of experience in project coorditation, contract management and customer service. She worked in the science sector and most recently in the construction sector. 


Karolina’s expertise is in process reengineering. In her work she has drastically improved productivity, cycle times and quality of teams through analysis, research, and thoughtful redesign of business processes. She also enjoys developing new processes and strategies to allow businesses to optimize and run more efficiently. Karolina has a passion for business streamlining and continuous improvement and is interested in Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma business improvement methodologies. She is also skilled in contract writing, management, and negotiation. 


In her spare time Karolina enjoys hiking, reading and catching up with her friends. In her inner circle she is known for her baking skills. Her current favorites are healthy and vegan treats. Karolina also likes to make her own organic cosmetics that she often shares with family and friends.


Anna E. Burek

Foreign Organzations Contact Manager

Anna is founder and Chair of IEEE Women in Engineering Poland Section. She is a strong advocate for women in STEM. She established and lead numerous communities and events helping to empower women in technology. Since 2012 she is actively involved with IEEE - the world’s largest technical professional organization for advancement of technology. In 2019 she joined IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee to support the IEEE Board-endorsed vision of IEEE volunteers around the world carrying out and supporting impactful humanitarian activities on the local level.

Anna E. Burek received the M.S. degree in Economics (2012) and she is currently the PhD candidate in the field of Robotics and Automation. She also works in a fast-growing start-up in Silicon Valley – Anova Culinary, which utilize science and technology to change the way people cook. 

She is passionate about learning and deliberate practice. She conducted many research and training project to understand what truly motivates a person to learn and work. She is also the author of many articles on this subject.  

Anna is a global citizen, she loves exploring the world, and in the next 5 years she wants to see the 7 Wonders of the World.

Joanna Broda-Schunck

Translator/Text Editor/Copywriter


Joanna is an expert in localization and linguistic testing (translation and quality assuranc e). For the last  4 years she has been working for Welocalize, onsite at a Fortune 100 company in Cupertino. She is fluent in Polish, English, German and French, and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Italian.

Before joining Welocalize she studied at the University of Tennessee where she received a Ph.D. in Modern Foreign Languages with first concentration in German, second - in Applied Linguistics and French. Her dissertation on the “Socialist Male Personality […]” combines elements as diverse as gender theory, modern history, young adult literature, and sociology. In her thesis she introduced the concept of hegemonic masculinity to explain how prevalent gender identities could be politically created.

Joanna grew up in Kraków, Poland, where she received a Master’s Degree from the Jagiellonian University. After a few years of teaching German and French at a local high school she moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. As Graduate Teaching Associate at UT she taught German to undergraduate and graduate students. She also worked as a translator and interpreter, including working at the Global Finals of Destination Imagination – a competition in creative problem solving.

In her free time Joanna enjoys singing and sports. She has been a choir member for many years and performed in many concerts. She is very passionate about tennis and is a member of the USTA. She continues her growth in the sport and volunteers at the Adult Tournament Committee for USTA NorCal.



Nika Zusin

Multimedia Content Creator

Nika Zusin is a multitalented artist, and her career path reflects it. Since January 2010, she has been working for Hero Team – a video production company co-founded by Nika and her husband Sebastian.


In addition to being a co-owner, Nika works on a regular basis as a director, videographer, editor, and graphic designer, and she specializes in 2D Animation creation and Motion Graphic Design. Her day to day work involves switching gears in many ways, because Nika is also active in two other fields, which are Visual Arts ( and Music ( At PPWSV, Nika is responsible for multimedia content creation.
