Joanna Lorincz

Board Member & Co-founder. Responsible for Organization Development

Joanna currently works as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with Workday in Pleasanton, CA. Her role responsibilities include the oversight of quality control and for delivery of a product that meets the highest standards of customers satisfaction. As part of the Software Development Life Cycle and Design Partner Groups, she is involved in building products with the most innovative design features. 

Joanna has gained invaluable experience working for many well known Silicon Valley companies such as 3VR, Taleo, Oracle, and currently works for Workday.

 

Joanna graduated with a degree in Business, Marketing, and Management which gives her unique insight and understanding into the business aspects of the software industry, as well as people, their motivation and productivity.

 

She is keenly interested in Agile and Scrum framework as part of Software Development. As a Certified Scrum Master, she is constantly learning and incorporating new techniques on how to improve teamwork and raise productivity within her team.

 

Joanna enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle and can often be found at the nearby yoga studio, paddle boarding on the San Francisco Bay or hiking on nearby trails. She is also passionate about healthy nutrition and continues to educate herself on the subject. Joanna lives in Walnut Creek together with her husband and son.

Magdalena Jaworowicz, Ph.D., MBA

Board Member & Co-founder. Responsible for Marketing & Learning

 

Magda is a certified business coach and project manager (PMP) with 15 years of experience in global marketing program development. For most of her career, she has worked for global tech companies and was responsible for marketing, training, and development. She currently works as a Marketing Velocity Learning Manager at Cisco.

Magda has a passion for education; holds Ph.D. degree in Communication, MA in Education, MBA in Management. She is strongly motivated by a desire to share her knowledge with others and has devoted much of her time to such endeavors in recent years. She has lectured extensively at the University of Warsaw during the past seven years and worked as TEDx public speaking trainer.

 

Together with her husband, she writes an art blog (ArtExperience.live) and has published five books relating to different fields of marketing, such as Copywriting, Political Marketing, Gender Marketing, Video Marketing, and Event Marketing.  She has been referenced by Wikipedia under the definition “Event Marketing.”

Piotr Jaworowicz, Ph.D., MBA

Board Member & Strategic Advisor. Responsible for Creative Direction

 

Piotr is a marketing expert in the digital field and an experienced project manager. Over the past ten years, he has worked for various Fortune 500 companies in Poland and the USA.


Piotr currently works as a Program Manager at Google in Mountain View. Prior to that, he was a Strategic Program Manager at Salesforce. Before that Piotr worked in the energy industry, and held the role of an Account Director at Chevron's Corporate Affairs and Director of Promotion and Advertising Department at PKN Orlen.

Piotr was born in Poland, where he earned his Ph.D. in media studies (University of Warsaw) and an MBA degree in Management (Lazarski University). He also has his PMP and PRINCE2 certificates.

 

Together with his wife, Magdalena, Piotr published five books relating to different fields of marketing such as Copywriting, Political Marketing, Gender Marketing, Video Marketing, and Event Marketing in Integrated Marketing Communication.

 

Piotr is also a passionate photographer (his first individual exhibition was organized in 2019 in Poland), and contemporary art observer (co-author of ArtExperience.live blog).

Izabela Stepniewski

Digital Marketing Manager

 

Izabela is a Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in Digital Marketing. Izabela has been working for the biggest worldwide companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, Nestle, Google, Kulczyk Holding, Orange, Raiffeisen Bank, Jacobs, Polpharma, Aviva and many more.

 

During this time Izabela planned and executed several marketing projects including digital campaigns, creating marketing strategies, managing countless new web developments and also built and maintained strong, lasting relationships with key clients. Izabela studied Economics and Management&Marketing at Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW.


Since Izabela values people, she feels good in those work environments which create a positive atmosphere, teamwork collaboration, and motivation based on true vocation.
Privately Izabela loves traveling and experiencing a culture through its food. She is a big fan of audiobooks. She is fascinated by women empowerment and interested in environmental trends.

Karolina Mazaheri

Program Manager

Karolina is a Project Administrator with seven years of experience in project coorditation, contract management and customer service. She worked in the science sector and most recently in the construction sector. 

 

Karolina’s expertise is in process reengineering. In her work she has drastically improved productivity, cycle times and quality of teams through analysis, research, and thoughtful redesign of business processes. She also enjoys developing new processes and strategies to allow businesses to optimize and run more efficiently. Karolina has a passion for business streamlining and continuous improvement and is interested in Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma business improvement methodologies. She is also skilled in contract writing, management, and negotiation. 

 

In her spare time Karolina enjoys hiking, reading and catching up with her friends. In her inner circle she is known for her baking skills. Her current favorites are healthy and vegan treats. Karolina also likes to make her own organic cosmetics that she often shares with family and friends.

Agnieszka Pradhan

Event Program Manager

Agnieszka is a Program Manager who has worked in developer relations, a game development startup, and IT marketing. Her strategic thinking allows her to plan programs based on SMART goals, metrics, and standard operating procedures to drive adoption for her teammates. Agnieszka currently works as a Program Manager at Google. In her 14-year career, she’s developed her skill set to take on technical writing, marketing, and program management roles.

 

She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science degree in graphic communication and a certificate in technical communication. Moving to the San Francisco Bay Area from Poland as a child, she did intern at RR Donnelley in Warsaw during her university years.

 

Her participation in the Polish Scouting Organization (ZHP) is why she today enjoys camping, hiking, and even organizing large developer events. Agnieszka explores cultural diversity through archaeology, mythologies, architecture, dance, and cuisines. Agnieszka lives with her husband in San Jose.

Olimpia Kaniak

Social Media Graphics Designer

Olimpia graduated from Opole University of Technology in Poland, with a major in Management and Marketing. She spent most of her professional career working in the tech industry, with a prominent role at Nokia’s Software House. She supervised and coordinated activities planned by the sales and marketing department, and executed the best results for the performance of key products on a worldwide mobile arena. She also gained hands-on UX/UI design experience by co-running a small startup with her husband, creating cross-platform applications tailored to unique industry and business requirements.

She is a creative and action-oriented individual who will drive innovative and sophisticated social media marketing campaigns in our organization. She loves to travel and photograph nature. It stretches her mind and perspective in new and extraordinary ways. She has a fun yet soulful vibe, and appreciates to her core what she gets to experience in life. She is a very approachable person that easily connects with others. In that vein, Olimpia launched a Polish female group to emphasize the importance of building a community of those who appreciate fine art and cultural events as an escape from everyday life.

Justyna Krawczyk

Program Manager

Justyna has 10+ years of experience in account management, project management and marketing for multiple industries including finance, health care and real estate. In her professional career, she had the pleasure to cooperate with various international companies, including Goldman Sachs, Moneygram, TJMaxx, Eli Lilly, Xerox, Mastercard and many others.

Born and raised in Poland, she graduated from University of Warsaw, with a master's degree in management and marketing. She also holds a master's degree in political sciences from the same university. Recently, she earned a Certified Associate in Project Management certification and is now expanding her knowledge in agile methodologies.

In her spare time, she loves hiking, riding bikes and playing volleyball. Since her teenage years she has supported the polish national volleyball team. Justyna lives with her husband in Concord.

Monika Evje

Talent Consultant

Monika is a Project Manager and Implementation Consultant and has been at LinkedIn since 2011. She originally joined LinkedIn to work in the customer operations department, and after 5 years joined a HR tech startup called Lever. In 2019 she returned to LinkedIn to help lead implementation of their brand new Applicant Tracking System, Talent Hub. She is passionate about the HR technology scene and talent acquisition space. 

 

Monika was born and raised in Krakow, Poland, and has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for twelve years.

 

Monika has three degrees from Poland’s top universities: a Masters in Philosophy from Pedagogical University of Krakow; a Bachelors in Cultural Studies, specialty in East Asian Culture from Jagiellonian University; and a Bachelors in German Language, specialty in Business German from College of Foreign Languages in Czestochowa.

 

While pursuing her education Monika also became a licensed city tour guide in Krakow and an international tour leader specializing in southeast Asia. 

 

Monika is a Vice President of the SF-Krakow Sister Cities Association and a Talent Consultant for Polish Professional Women of Silicon Valley Initiative. When not working, she raises two young boys and enjoys baking.

Marlena Guderska

Graphic Designer, UI/UX

 

Marlena is an enthusiastic, talented graphic designer with UI/UX skills. She spend over 5 years in the advertising industry. Currently, she works on creating political campaigns in California.

 

Originally from Łowicz in Poland, Marlena earned a degree in Graphic Arts and Digital Design, and now designs for both print and digital. She has worked in Poland in many different companies where she often had to undertake auxiliary roles and responsibilities. This gave her a broad insight and perspective into the functioning of successful companies.

 

After moving to Sacramento, she began studying at Sacramento City College to expand her graphic skills, and orient herself in the User Experience design field. Her focus is on a thorough understanding of the client and molding their vision into a beautiful and effective whole.
When is not designing, the adventurous Marlena is traveling and performing in improv theater.

Gosia Herudzinska

Program Manager

Gosia is a driven change maker, constantly exploring new trends and solutions, and helping others to extend their own capabilities. She manages programs and projects focused on innovative technologies and business process improvements, such as CRM, sales and marketing transformation, Augmented and Virtual Reality and Fintech.


In 2020, Gosia started her transition from Amsterdam to San Francisco. Now, based in San Francisco, she continues to engage in program management, fulfilling her passion for innovation, technology, improvement, and continuous learning. Born and raised in Poland, Gosia started her full-time professional career during her undergrad studies in Warsaw. In 2004 she moved to Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She completed an MBA degree in International Business at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam.


Gosia has extensive experience in managing CRM programs on a local and global scale, as well as improving sales and marketing processes in various industries, including two Lean Six Sigma Black Belt projects. During the last ten years she worked for the University of Amsterdam; before that she worked with ING Group, Electrolux, Akzo Nobel, Abbott, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, and Wyeth, to mention a few.


Gosia loves traveling, exploring new cities and countries, or just simply visiting friends. She also is a certified bartender, and loves cooking for family and friends, especially when she has a new recipe to try.

Gosia Rios

Member Experience Manager

Gosia is a SaaS Customer Success leader with over 10 years of experience working with enterprise technology companies, including LinkedIn, Palo Alto Networks, and Twitter. She led teams in rebuilding a global SaaS company's entire customer success infrastructure. Gosia has also worked in-house on technology teams managing SaaS solutions from implementation to go-live.

 

She is passionate about building lasting relationships and developing deep trust creating delighted, loyal customers, employees, and members. She empowers those around her and gives back to the communities as an active mentor for SV Academy Customer Success graduates and a founding mentor at the Women in Customer Success Power Up.

 

Gosia holds a Master's in Marketing and Management from the University of Economics in Wroclaw, Poland. She is Dare To Lead trained and Brené Brown enthusiast who chooses courage over comfort in her professional and personal life.

 

When not working, Gosia runs, dances, spends time with her two children and husband and enjoys their family restaurant.

Eliza Wysokiński

Treasury & Finance Manager

Eliza is a finance professional with over 12 years of leadership experience working in cross-functional and multi-dimensional global teams. Experienced in performance management, budgeting & forecasting, financial modeling, margin and revenue analysis, business strategy reviews and finance operations. For over past 11 years she worked for downstream manufacturing at Shell Oil US overseeing onsite and off-shored locations in US, India and Philippines.


Eliza was born and raised in Poland, where she finished her Law Degree at the University of Lodz. Eliza holds MBA in finance and accounting from San Francisco State University.
 

In her spare time Eliza enjoys hiking, reading, interior design and spending time with friends and family. Her true passion is travelling and food. From Michelin-starred restaurants across the planet to the latest hole-in-the-wall down the street, she wants to taste it all!
