The following rules and guidelines have been established by the Polish Professional Women in Silicon Valley (PPWSV) organization to ensure fair and accurate representation of its members in the PPWSV Business Owners' Directory. Inclusion in the directory is a privilege extended to active PPWSV members, and adherence to these rules is essential to maintain the directory's integrity.

 

1. Membership Eligibility:

• To be featured in the PPWSV Business Owners' Directory, members must maintain active and good-standing status with PPWSV.

 

2. Business Listing Fees and Voluntary Donations:

• In the spirit of supporting our members, postings in the PPWSV Business Owners' Directory are offered at NO COST. However, members are welcome and encouraged to make voluntary donations to support the PPWSV organization. These contributions help us maintain and enhance the directory and other member services.

 

3. Directory Submission:

• Members interested in being listed in the directory must provide comprehensive and accurate information about their businesses by submitting the Business Profile Intake Form.

• All members are encouraged to submit their business information via the provided submission form Business Profile Intake Form.

• Information submitted must be accurate, up-to-date, and relevant to the business or profession.

• Members are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information they provide.

 

4. Privacy and Data Protection:

• Personal and business information submitted to the Directory will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be shared with non-members.

• By submitting information to the Directory, members consent to the storage and processing of their data for Directory purposes.

 

5. Directory Fields:

• The Directory submission form (Business Profile Intake Form) consists of two parts:

  • Part 1 includes fields from which the submitted information will be published on the PPWSV website on the Business Owners' Directory page. Part 1 includes fields:

    • Business Name (mandatory)

    • Owner’s First and Last Name (mandatory)

    • Business Description (max # of 570 characters) (mandatory)

    • Business Address (if applicable) (optional)

    • Business Website (if applicable) and/or Social Media reference link (if applicable) (optional)

    • Logo or Image (specs: .jpg or .png format) (mandatory)

    • Business Phone Number (optional)

  • Part 2 includes information collected solely for internal use within PPWSV to streamline communication regarding the Business Owners' Directory listing. Part 2 includes fields:

    • Business Owner’s Phone Number (mandatory)

    • Business Owner’s E-mail Address - direct contact (mandatory)

    • Comments (optional)

 

Members must complete all required fields accurately.

 

6. Professional Conduct:

• Members featured in the directory are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics. Any unethical behavior may result in removal from the directory.

 

7. Directory Management:

• PPWSV and its designated representatives will oversee the Directory.

• PPWSV reserves the right to verify the legitimacy of businesses by requesting supporting documentation, such as a business license or certification.

• PPWSV reserves the right to make changes to these rules and regulations as needed and to resolve any disputes or issues related to Directory listings.

• PPWSV reserves the right to remove or edit any listings that are inaccurate, inappropriate, or do not comply with these rules and regulations.

• Updates or Removal of Directory Listings requested by Business Owners:

• Members are responsible for keeping their information current and accurate.

• Members may update their Directory information by sending an email to contact@ppwsv.com. The update will be published within 3 business days from the date of the received inquiry.

• Member’s requests to remove their business from the listing shall be sent in writing to contact@ppwsv.com.

 

8. Inclusion Criteria:

• The PPWSV Business Owners' Directory primarily features businesses owned or co-owned by PPWSV members. However, exceptions may be made for businesses that significantly support PPWSV's mission or have strong ties to our community.

 

9. Non-Discrimination:

• PPWSV does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age. All eligible members are welcome in the directory.

 

10. Directory Access and Usage:

• The PPWSV Business Owners' Directory is accessible to members of the general public at the discretion of the organization.

• Members are encouraged to use the Directory to connect and network with other members for professional purposes.

• Unauthorized use of Directory information for solicitation, marketing, or any other non-professional purpose is strictly prohibited.

 

11. Directory Promotion:

• Members are encouraged to promote the PPWSV Business Owners' Directory to enhance its visibility and the reach of fellow members' businesses.

 

By submitting their business information for inclusion in the PPWSV Business Owners' Directory, members acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these rules and guidelines. PPWSV may update these rules periodically, and it is the responsibility of members to stay informed about any changes.

 

These rules and regulations are subject to change, and members will be notified of any updates. It is the responsibility of members to review and comply with the most current version of these rules and regulations.
